Hermes: crisis already over for designer bags, revenues III trim +10%

Crisis or no crisis, there are many who do not renounce designer bags, and for the French Hermes the third quarter closed with sales up 10 percent, to 452 million euros.

A performance that according to the same luxury home comes from strong sales of its Birkin bags, which bore the whole division on the products in leather, so the turnover has jumped by 25 percent.

So much so that with a press release the company stated that based on current trends in the turnover of the whole year should be slightly better than previously expected, which is a stable trend.

For all of the first nine months of the year total revenues grew by 1, 4 percent, to 1.33 billion euros. Because of the weakening of several major currencies including the dollar and the yen, for the whole of Hermes provides a decrease of 5 percent operating profit.

In late morning trade in Paris the title of Hermes International advancing 2.76 percent to 99.49 euros.
